DUBOIS – Penn State DuBois Outreach and PennDOT has rolled out another course designed to help professional engineers further develop their careers. The Engineer in Training (EIT) Course will help prepare individuals for the EIT examination. It will run concurrently with the Professional Engineer Civil Exam Review Course, beginning in August.
Pennsylvania requires that every engineer, with or without a college degree, must pass the (EIT) examination as the first step toward licensure in the state. To be eligible to take the exam, a participant must have four years of work experience in an engineering-related area. This course will prepare participants for the exam by providing instruction in areas such as mathematics, statistics, thermodynamics, electrical circuits, and more.
The course is scheduled for 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday evenings beginning on Aug. 27, and concluding on March 3, at the PennDOT District 2-0 office, 70 PennDOT Dr., in Clearfield. The course fee is $1,200, which includes text book and other course materials.
The Professional Engineer and Civil Exam Review Course will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Aug. 26, and concluding on March 2, also at the PennDOT District 2-0 office.
