State police at DuBois
- An accident occurred Monday on Shamokin Trail in Brady Township. Further, Gregory Rougeux of Frenchville was traveling east when he became distracted by his dogs, which were on the front passenger’s seat. His vehicle subsequently exited the roadway via the south berm and impacted a tree at the 2 o’clock position. The Rougeux vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene; Rougeux wasn’t injured in the accident, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday in the area of Eighth and Presqueisle streets in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a Philipsburg woman allegedly threw a door knob at the victim’s vehicle, which caused damage to the driver’s side door.
- An accident occurred Monday on Eagle Valley Road in Huston Township. Further, a Madera woman was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a deer that entered the roadway.
State police at Punxsutawney
- An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Feb. 1 and July 30 in a wooded area about one mile off of Guzzo Road in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly gained entry and removed six window air conditioning units as well as a gas stove. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $1,500, state police said. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of theft from a motor vehicle occurred July 31 on Marvin Street in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a Yamaha Kodiak all-terrain vehicle from the victim’s property. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Aug. 3 on Ridgway-St. Marys Road in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a Ridgway man’s cat allegedly entered the victim’s property and urinated on his residence and personal property. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
- A protection from abuse order violation occurred Aug. 4 on Worrel Street in Jones Township. During the incident, a Wilcox man allegedly yelled obscenities at the victim. The incident remains under investigation, state police said.
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Aug. 3-4 on Shawmut Road in Horton Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed an aluminum “work area.” Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- An incident of retail theft occurred Aug. 4 at the Family Dollar Store in Jay Township. During the incident, a Benezette woman allegedly removed a package of Glade Plug-in refills valued at $5 from the store without paying for it. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.

- Police received a report about an activated alarm at a local church on Riverview Road.
- Police received a report about a dog inside a vehicle at the Dutch Pantry.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of scattering rubbish.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft.
- Police received a report about an individual who allegedly provided false information at an accident scene.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly panhandling and trespassing in the area of Big Lots and CNB Bank.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on Fire Tower Road and Krebs Highway. Police located the male in the area of Brown’s Road and determined he was wanted by state police at Clearfield.
- Police received a report about a bicycle/pedestrian accident in Glen Richey. Minor injuries were reported, police said.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male. However, police determined it was a personal matter involving a married couple and there wasn’t a reason to check the welfare.
- Police received a report about a code violation involving burning on Byers Street.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male/vehicle on Clarendon Avenue. Police requested residents to obtain vehicle registration if it is observed again.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on River Road. Minor injuries were reported and one vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a lost, mislaid or stolen license plate.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who was riding his skateboard down Village Road during nighttime hours.
