Jacob M. Peters, 37, of Clearfield died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at his home. Born Jan. 30, 1978 in Reading, he was the son of the late James B. Sr. and Linda M. (Bowman) Peters of Mineral Springs.
Mr. Peters was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Clearfield. He was a farmhand and a 1998 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald L. and Ruth I. Bowman; paternal grandparents, Edward S. and Verna L. Peters; and a nephew, Ryan John Ogden.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Peters is survived by his companion, Gina DeSantis; a sister, Lisa A. Ogden of Clearfield and two brothers, James B. Peters Jr. of Emlenton and Donald E. Peters of Mineral Springs; and a brother-in-law, Daniel L. Ogden of Clearfield.
He is survived by two nieces, Jacquelynn Peters and Taylor Peters; five nephews, Tanner Ogden, Travis Ogden, Shane Peters, Tyler Peters and Zachary Peters; and three great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by extended family members, Davey and Amy Blowers, Vicki Barger and Ray Nestleroad.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Calvary Church of God in Mineral Springs, with the Rev. Stan Wisor and the Rev. Sam Maines officiating.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the church.
