Police: Clearfield Man Accused of Sexually Abusing Multiple Victims Beginning in 2001

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – A 41-year-old Clearfield man, Frank W. Wilson, was arrested late Tuesday night on multiple sex-related charges with some in excess of 100-plus counts, according to Chief Mark Brooks of the Lawrence Township Police Department.

Wilson is facing charges of: rape of child; aggravated indecent assault of child; aggravated indecent assault (victim less than 13 years); aggravated indecent assault (victim less than 16 years); indecent assault (victim less than 13 years); dissemination of explicit material to a minor; corruption of minors; indecent exposure; aggravated indecent assault without consent; aggravated indecent assault through threats and forcible compulsion; sexual assault; statutory sexual assault; and rape through threats and forcible compulsion.

“An in-depth investigation revealed a pattern of abuse that spanned years, beginning in 2001 and ending in 2015 and consisting of multiple child and adolescent victims,” said Brooks.

Wilson was arrested by warrant late Tuesday night without incident. He was then incarcerated at the Clearfield County Jail.

Wilson was arraigned Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge Jerome Nevling. He remains incarcerated in lieu of $500,000 bail. Wilson’s preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 12 p.m. Aug. 12 at the jail.
