CLEARFIELD – A New York man will spend time in state prison for bringing drugs into the area.

Little Big Town Cancels Performance at Clearfield Fair

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Fair officials have just received notification that Little Big Town has cancelled their performance scheduled for Friday, Aug. 7 due to ongoing vocal cord issues.

Altfather Accused of Child Endangerment

DUBOIS – A DuBois woman is facing charges following an incident where her child was allegedly found at a pizza shop.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office July 20, Casey Marie Altfather, 22, 320 W. Long Ave, DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with endangering the welfare of children, following an incident July 18.

Shaw: Charges Filed in Osceola Mills VFW Shooting

CLEARFIELD – Charges were filed today against a Bellefonte man, Robert D. Hanson, 55, who has been accused of an April 1 shooting at the Osceola Mills Veterans of Foreign Wars, announced District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr.

Kaizer Accused of Biting Woman in the Face

DUBOIS – A Reynoldsville woman is accused of biting another woman in the face during a fight.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office July 20, Cassidy Lynn Kaizer, 32, 428 Hill St., Reynoldsville, is charged by the DuBois City police with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct following an incident July 18.

Clearfield Commissioners Table Splitting Airport Audit Bill with Jefferson Co.

CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday the Clearfield County Commissioners voted, 2-1, to table any decision on splitting the bill for the Clearfield-Jefferson Airport’s 2013 audit with the Jefferson County Commissioners.

Fire Chief and Firefighter Accused of Arson

TREASURE LAKE – A fire chief and volunteer firefighter have been charged with arson, according to the state police at DuBois.

Former CCCTC Substitute Teacher to Stand Trial

CLEARFIELD – A former substitute teacher accused of telling students about her sex life and drug habit in class at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) will stand trial.

CLEARFIELD – On Monday Clearfield County Fair officials received notification from Little Big Town that the group must cancel its performance scheduled for Aug. 7.

U.S. Marshals Capture Clearfield Co. Fugitive

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Robert Selfridge, 35, of Main Street, Falls Creek. Selfridge was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on July 20.
