CLEARFIELD – The final week of programming in the Every Hero Has a Story!  summer reading program at Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library concluded with a week of obstacle courses and a field trip to Parker Dam State Park.

A thank you is extended to Carey Huber of Parker Dam State Park for the program on Wednesday.  “Everyone had a great time at the park and enjoyed the experience,” said Paula Collins, library director. The final drawing for the weekly adult prize was held Friday and the final youth weekly drawing will be held Monday.

Although the programs and events have concluded for the summer, the library would like to remind participants of all ages that the reading continues through 9 p.m. Aug. 11.

To qualify for the end of summer drawings on Aug. 12, participants must visit the library by closing on Aug. 11 to receive and enter any earned tickets.  Winners of the end of summer drawings will be notified by phone.

Parents of youth enrolled in the Read-to-Me, School-Age A, and School-Age B groups are asked to return the summer program evaluation forms no later than Aug. 12.  Anyone that has not received a form, please stop by the library during regular business hours to complete and submit the annual evaluation.

“As the summer reading program comes to end for 2015, we would like to extend a thank you to all of the readers that participated this year. The Every Hero Has a Story! reading program has been a great success and a fantastic summer of reading, events and programs,” said Collins.

The library is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Fridays from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
