Ruth Loretta Martin, 78, of Bells Landing, Mahaffey RD, and formerly of West Fairview/Enola, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
Born June 23, 1937 in Steelton, she was the daughter of Harry and Martha V. (Radisill) Beistline.
Mrs. Martin had served as a cook at both the Army Depot in New Cumberland and the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg.
She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the West Fairview United Methodist Church.
She had wed Edwin Olin Martin who preceded her in death on June 18, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eddie Martin; a sister, Marian Bradley; and three brothers, Harry, James and Richard Beistline.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Stephenson of Bells Landing, Mahaffey RD; a granddaughter, Jennifer Sharpless and her husband, Bob of Curwensville; two great-grandchildren, Marcus Stephenson and Kennady Sharpless of Curwensville; and two brothers, Barry Beistline of Harrisburg and Ronald Beistline and his wife, Peggy of Kylertown.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Dr., Enola, with the Rev. W. Keith Rockwell officiating.
Burial will be in the Enola Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Enola.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sullivan Funeral Home.
