Charles A. Harvey Sr., 89, of Philipsburg died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.

Born Dec. 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Ralph and Naomia (Vaughn) Harvey.

He married Ilean (Weld) Harvey on Jan. 2, 1947. She survives at home.

Mr. Harvey was of the Christian faith. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Harvey was a retired truck driver and mechanic.

He enjoyed singing, camping, fishing, hunting, going to church and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rick Harvey Sr.; two sisters, Lucinda Smith and Shirley Harvey; two brothers, William Harvey and Ralph Harvey Jr.; a granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Harvey; and a daughter-in-law, Norma Jean Harvey.

Along with his wife, Mr. Harvey is survived by two daughters, Barbara Scott of Osceola Mills and Naomia Caprio and her husband, Joe of Philipsburg; three sons, Charles Harvey Jr. and his wife, Rose of Clearfield, Ronald Harvey and his wife, Bonnie of Osceola Mills and Dennis Harvey Sr. and his wife, Lorna of State College; and a brother, Robert Harvey Sr. of Meadville.

He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, Leo Johnson Jr. and his wife, Erin; Nicole Schnarrs and her husband, Josh; Linda Butterworth and her husband, Chris; Randy Hendershot and his wife, Deb; Bobby Hendershot Jr.; Terry Scott and his wife, Tonya; Missy Hallman and her husband, Jerami; Rick Harvey Jr. and his wife, Lisa; Chuck Harvey, Christopher Harvey; Angel Hunter; Rockey Harvey; Whitney Harvey; Richie Harvey; Dennis Harvey Jr.; April Dunlap and her husband, Paul; Ture Harvey and his wife, Angela; Barbie Krause and her husband, Tim; Ronnie Harvey Jr.; Amber Harvey and her husband, Josh; and Donna Harvey; 27 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating.  Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brisbin.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
