PSP: Three Killed in Head-on Collision in Huston Twp.

HUSTON TOWNSHIP – Three people were killed in a head-on collision at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route 255 in Huston Township, reported the state police at DuBois.

The victims were identified by state police as William Charles Tyler, 71, of Weedville and Jeffery Lynn Jacob, 50, and Ruth B. Buganza, 84, both of St. Marys. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the report, Tyler was traveling north on Route 255 when his vehicle crossed the centerline. His vehicle then collided head-on with the Jacob vehicle.

The Jacob vehicle became engulfed in flames after the collision. Tyler wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time; it is unknown if Jacob and Buganza were wearing their seatbelts, state police said.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Sabula, Penfield and Treasure Lake fire department and Bennetts Valley and DuSan emergency medical services. Clearfield County Coroner Mike Morris also assisted at the scene.
