Kemerer Accused of Frozen Food Fracas

DUBOIS- A DuBois woman is accused of causing a fracas in the frozen food section.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office July 15, Kelly Lynn Kemerer, 49, 205 ½ E. Washington Ave., Apt. A, DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with resisting arrest, harassment, criminal mischief and two counts of disorderly conduct.

According to the affidavit, on July 15, police were called to Martin’s Grocery Store for an irate customer.

When the officers arrived, they were met by several employees who said the woman was Kemerer and that she was back near the frozen food section. As police arrived, Kemerer was allegedly still yelling.

The officer told her to stop yelling, but Kemerer allegedly started yelling louder and swearing. The officers asked her again to calm down, but Kemerer allegedly got even louder, and allegedly told the officers they “were going to hell” for what they do and threatened to kill them.

The officers told Kemerer that she was under arrest and when they tried to grab her arm, Kemerer allegedly tried to punch them. When an officer was able to grab Kemerer’s arm, she allegedly struck the officer with her body and knocked him down.

The officers continued to struggle with Kemerer but were able to get her handcuffed.

Kemerer allegedly continued to struggle with the officers, yelling and telling them they “were going to die.” Once inside the patrol vehicle, Kemerer allegedly started spitting on the back window of the patrol car.
