All grown up: Bindi Irwin has a boyfriend

Steve Irwin’s little girl is growing up.

Bindi Irwin turns 17 on Friday, and she told “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday that she’s dating someone.

“There is someone special in my life right now, and I’m really happy with that,” she told the show. “Life is wonderful at the moment.”

But don’t look for her to spill any gossip about him; she didn’t even reveal his name.

Irwin was 8 years old when her famous crocodile-hunting father died after his heart was pierced by a stingray barb while he was filming a documentary. His daughter has taken up his mantle of wildlife conservation even as she enjoys the same things as a normal teen.

Good luck sussing out clues to her mystery man on social media, where Irwin posts lots of upbeat, positive messages as well as memories of her dad and pics of her working at her family’s wildlife park.

Last year, she made headlines when she talked about the need for young women to cover up.

“I mean, for me, I look around at a lot of young girls that are my age, and they’re always trying to dress older,” Irwin said. “Whether it’s wearing revealing clothes or hardly wearing any clothes at all, I feel really bad for them.”

Fans have watched Irwin grow up, and she’s something of an industry legend, having launched the popular TV series “Bindi: The Jungle Girl” in 2006, when she was 8. She says she’s determined to make her family proud.

“Mom and Dad are truly my heroes,” Irwin said. “And I have to say, so is my little brother, Robert. He’s 11, and he’s just the most amazing boy. He’s so much like Dad sometimes, it’s a bit scary. Dad is and always will be my living, breathing superhero.”
