Patricia L. Gorton, 72, of Clearfield died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Gorton was born April 30, 1943 in Clearfield, the daughter of Walter C. and Delma K. (Thompson) Johnston.
She had worked as a beautician with her mother for many years.
She then took time to become a homemaker, raising her daughter and supporting her husband through his ministry at the various churches he served. She had many joys, including singing in the church choirs.
Mrs. Gorton was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her mother, Delma of Curwensville; a daughter, Chandra D. Gorton and her fiancé, Bill Carbaugh of Clearfield; and a granddaughter, Charlee A. Carbaugh.
Mrs. Gorton was preceded in death by her father; her husband, the Rev. Rodger J. Gorton; and her beloved husky, Saba.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis and Pastor Sallie Swenson co-officiating.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
