Julia M. Kritzer, 82, of Woodland died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
She was born July 2, 1933 in Greenwood Township, a daughter of the late George H. and Sarah V. (Anderson) Passmore.
Mrs. Kritzer was employed at Dumont, the Captain’s Table Restaurant, the Little Pizza Shop, Woodland, and Michael Owens and Sons.
She was a 1952 graduate of the Curwensville High School. She attended the Eastern Bible Institute in Greene Lane, Pa., from 1952-1953.
She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Clearfield, for more than 50 years and held many offices during that time. Mrs. Kritzer will be remembered for taking great pride in supporting armed service members and veterans.
She is survived by three sons, Roger Kritzer and his wife, Sharon of Irvona, Ronald Kritzer and his wife, Mary Beth of Lancaster and Randal Kritzer and his wife, Rebecca of Manheim.
She is survived by seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three sisters, Helen Bentley and Alice Soule, both of Ohio, and Betty Miller of New Jersey and four brothers, Walter Passmore, Ed Passmore and his wife, Bonnie, Elliss Passmore and his wife, Shirley and Rodney Passmore and his wife, Kathy, all of Mahaffey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. George ‘Duffy’ Kritzer on Nov. 10, 2000 and to whom she wed Oct. 20, 1956 in Clearfield.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Kritzer; two grandsons, Travis Kritzer and PFC Bradley Kritzer; five sisters, Wanda Pieron, Edna Kraften, Ida Passmore, Ruth Kurten and Alta Peoples; and two brothers, Charles and George Passmore.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Pastors David and Clifford Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
