CLEARFIELD – A Punxsutawney man accused of setting fire to the Gibby’s Warehouse in DuBois has pleaded guilty.

Martin Pleads Guilty to Stealing More Than $64K from Elderly Woman

CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman accused of taking more than $64,000 from an elderly woman while serving as her power of attorney pleaded guilty during plea and sentencing court.

Male Facing Charges for Police Stand-Off in Sandy Twp.

SANDY TOWNSHIP – A male has been accused of making threatening actions and comments during a nearly five-hour stand-off with local police on Friday.

The male has been charged by Sandy Township police with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct. He’s been incarcerated at the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Landlord, DuBois Council Debate Issue Over Water Bill

DUBOIS – On Monday night, landlord Kevin Salandra appeared before the DuBois City Council regarding a $140.89 water bill from a former tenant.

Makinen Accused of Breaking into Sleeping Woman’s Home

DUBOIS – A DuBois man is accused of allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office July 9, Michael Jacob Makinen, 32, 522 W. Weber Ave., DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with burglary, criminal trespass, assault, loitering and prowling at nighttime, harassment and public drunkenness.

Clearfield Revitalization Corp. Receives National Accreditation

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) has been accredited as a 2015 National Main Street Program for meeting the 10 revitalization performance standards set by the National Trust Main Street Center.
