DUBOIS – A DuBois woman has been accused of stealing and using a debit card.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office July 8, Tina Marie Stump, 39, 11 W. Long Ave., DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with forgery, unauthorized use of a credit card and theft by unlawful taking.
According to the affidavit, police were contacted by the victim who wanted to report fraudulent charges on her credit card. The victim said the charges were from various businesses and totaled $184.52.
The victim said while speaking to the managers of one of the business, she was shown a photo of a woman using her debit card. The victim recognized the woman as Stump.
Police were able to obtain security video at the businesses where Stump allegedly used the victim’s card and an electronic signature. The victim said the signature was not how she signed her name when using her card.
The officers then confronted Stump, who denied having stolen the card and using it.
