Ralph E. “Tiny” Cartwright, 81, of Sandy Ridge died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at UPMC Altoona.
Born Dec. 24, 1933, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Helen (Kanouff) Cartwright.
He married JoAnne (Renwick) Cartwright on Sept. 28, 1957 in Sandy Ridge. She survives at home.
Mr. Cartwright was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge.
He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a 1951 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter; an infant brother, James Cartwright; and a sister, Sally Lou Kephart.
Mr. Cartwright is survived by a daughter, Laura Jean Shoff and her husband, Bradley of Mount Lebanon; a sister, Bonnie Lee Johnson and her husband, Harry of Sandy Ridge; and two grandchildren, Emily Lane Shoff and Evan Alexander Shoff.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Forrest Bish officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
