CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of July 13.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Danny Wilson, 36, of Swoope Street, Brisbin. Wilson is wanted for failure to appear at a Criminal Call held on July 7.

On Feb. 27, 2015, Trooper Dennis Peters of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint against Wilson. He charged Wilson with driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, M; possession of a controlled substance, M; possession of a small amount of marijuana, M; possession of drug paraphernalia, M; and related summary offenses.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, while on routine patrol Feb. 3, Peters allegedly observed the operator of a vehicle without a registration displayed execute a turn without using a turn signal.

A traffic stop was conducted as a result, and upon making contact with the operator, identified as Wilson, Peters allegedly detected signs of impairment. Peters also allegedly found controlled substances during contact with Wilson.

Wilson was then transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for blood testing.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 8, at which time all charges were held for court. On July 7, Wilson failed to appear for a Criminal Call, and a warrant was issued for his arrest

Wilson is described as a Caucasian male who stands 6 feet tall. He has blue eyes and brown hair.
