Woman Flown to Altoona after Vehicle Collides with Embankment, Overturns on I-80

PINE TOWNSHIP – A 60-year-old Long Valley, NJ woman, Melanie S. Gee, was flown to Altoona after a collision Saturday on Interstate 80 westbound at mile-marker 113 in Pine Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.

According to the report, Gee was traveling in the left-hand lane on I-80 when a vehicle from the right-hand lane attempted to enter her lane. The Gee vehicle was forced off the roadway, collided with an embankment and overturned.

Gee was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident; however, she was flown to Altoona for medical treatment. Her passenger was taken to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for medical treatment, state police said.
