M. Jean Westwood, 88, of Allport died Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital. Born Dec. 28, 1926 in South Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Elnora Frantz Williams.
Mrs. Westwood was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport. She was a member of the Gethsemane Quilters.
She was the manager of the West Branch Food Bank. She was a caregiver for Mary Deacon and a homemaker.
She was married to John T. Westwood on July 4, 1945 at the home of the bride in Munson. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2006.
Mrs. Westwood is survived by a daughter, Carol Flood and her husband, Ken Jr. of Allport and a son, Thomas Ray Westwood and his wife, Beverly of Munson.
She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Ann Bednarchik of Cherry Hill, NJ and Mary Lou McGinley of Hudson, Fla.; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Westwood; a grandson, John Charles Westwood; and two brothers, Robert and John Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport, with Pastor Jim Hollister officiating.
Burial will be in the Allport Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
