Helen Swanson, 64, of Morrisdale died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at her residence. Born Aug. 18, 1950 in Kittaning, she was the daughter of the late Ivan F. Sr. and Lois E. Hite Kyler.
Mrs. Swanson was a 1968 graduate of the West Branch High School. She was also a graduate of the IBM School, Philadelphia. She had worked for Shortway Products, Clearfield, and the Clearfield Truck Stop.
She is survived by a son, Bradley Ivan Swanson of Morrisdale; two sisters, Elizabeth J. “Betty” Bauman and Ethel Joanne Kyler, both of Morrisdale; and a brother, Ivan F. Kyler Jr. and his wife, Beverly of Palestine (Morrisdale).
Mrs. Swanson was also survived by a long-time friend and companion, Samuel Powell of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Swanson.
There will not be any public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in the Palestine United Methodist Cemetery, Morrisdale.
