It’s been almost 20 years since the death of “‘SNL” star Chris Farley, but the actor is still beloved.
The new trailer for the documentary “I Am Chris Farley” features many of his famous friends reminiscing about Farley, who died of an overdose in 1997 at the age of 33.
“He was this boy that wanted to do good, but then there was this other side of him,” fellow actor Tom Arnold says in the clip. “So his whole life was this constant battle.”
Farley shot to fame in the 1990s on “SNL” and launched a film career with hits like “Tommy Boy” and “Black Sheep.” His best friend and frequent co-star David Spade said Farley is never far from his thoughts.
“It comes up in something in my mind every day,” Spade said of his friend. “And I think it will forever.”
Variety reports that the film will premiere on Spike on August 10 and be released on VOD and DVD on August 11.
