Clarion University Maintains CFP Board-registered Program Status in BSBA Finance program

Clarion– Clarion University has maintained registration with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. to provide a personal financial planning program, which is a concentration in their undergraduate BSBA finance degree.

An independent certifying organization, CFP Board owns the CFP(r) and Certified Financial PlannerTM certification marks, which it awards to individuals who meet its education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements. Students completing the financial planning program at Clarion University will have met the education requirement for CFP(r) Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.

“CFP Board is pleased to have an educational institution of the caliber of Clarion University of Pennsylvania offering a CFP Board-registered program,” said Richard P. Rojeck, CFP(r), chair of CFP Board’s board of directors. “As student interest in financial planning as a career continues to grow, we anticipate that Clarion University’s program will contribute significantly to the number of qualified candidates seeking to attain the CFP(r) certification, the standard of excellence for competent and ethical financial planning.”

“We are very excited to receive renewal of our CFP Board registration,” said Jeffrey Eicher, JD, CPA and director of Clarion’s personal financial planning program.

“We value our relationship with the CFP Board and are very pleased with the performance of students within our program. Just this past February we participated in the Second Annual FASTech Financial   Planning Competition, where our students took home the overall first place trophy. “We are excited with the successes of our current students and look forward to even greater success down the road.”
