DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to the area of Liberty Blvd. and N. Park Place for a report of a two vehicle accident at 9:08 am. Officers arrived on scene and learned there were no injuries and both vehicles were drivable. Responding officers learned an 18 year old Rockton man failed to stop for for traffic and caused a collision, rear ending the vehicle of a 69 year old Rockton man. Information was exchanged and no citations were issued,
- Police were summoned to a mental health provider on Beaver Driver to assist with a male wanting to harm himself. Officers arrived to find the male cooperative seeking voluntary commitment. After concluding he was no immediate threat, the male was transported by ambulance to Penn Highlands for a medical evaluation.
- Police were dispatched to the West Long Avenue and N. Franklin Street area at 10:36 am for a report a disorderly male. Officers arrived and meet with the caller who reported he was at a local business when the clerk began to harass him. The then left the store when the clerk’s boyfriend arrived on scene and began to harass the caller. The other male stayed on scene and reported he and his girlfriend are continually harassed by the caller. All parties were encouraged to stay away from each other or criminal charges will be filed.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle. Police located the vehicle and identified the actors.
- Police received a report of a possible drug violation.
- Police assisted State Police in attempting to locate an individual.
- Police received a report of a traffic complaint.
- Police received a report of a vehicle accident.
- Police were called to a business for a report of a person failing to pay for food. Upon arrival is was discovered that the man was in possession of a reported stolen vehicle and was wanted by police in another jurisdiction.
- Police received a report of multiple suspicious vehicles at a business on South Second Street.
- Police received a noise complaint in Hyde.
- Police are investigating a domestic incident that occurred on Warren Drive. The investigation continues and charges are pending.
- Police assisted Clearfield EMS with a medical emergency where a woman gave birth at her residence.
State Police at Clearfield
- Police are investigating a theft that took place Wednesday in Mineral Springs, Bradford Township. According to the report unknown actors removed aluminum window frames, copper pipe and copper wire from behind a garage located in a wooded area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Yost at 814-857-3800.
- Police were called to a hit and run crash Wednesday at the intersection of Michlin Avenue and Schofield Extension, Pike Township. An unknown vehicle attempted to make a right hand turn on Michlin Avenue and struck a cement clock wall located on the corner, causing damage to the wall. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 814-857-3800.
Sandy Township
- Police responded to an accident where a vehicle driven by a 51 year old Summerville woman hit a deer while traveling on Bee Line Highway near Sher De Lin Road, causing her vehicle to become disabled. No injuries to the driver reported.
- Police responded to a report of harassment. A 28 year old DuBois woman reported being harassed and stalked by her estranged boyfriend at her place of employment. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police responded to a UTV accident. A 15 year old girl and her 15 year old passenger escaped injury when they attempted to drive a UTV over the railroad tracks on Maloney Road after the crossing arm lowered for an oncoming train. The UTV hit the railroad arm, causing it to stop. The girls then fled the scene, but later returned with a parent. The train was able to stop without causing damage.
- A 57 year old DuBois woman reported hitting a deer on Maple Ave. The deer was still alive on the roadway when a vehicle driven by a 47 year old Brockway crested a hill and was unable to avoid the deer. Minor to moderate damage and no injuries to the drivers reported.
- DuBois Mall Security reported a group of people causing a disturbance in Arby’s after the guard to them they had to leave because the Mall was closing. The group had dispersed prior to officer’s arrival.
- Police investigated an act of theft where a 20 year old Eastern Avenue man was caught by Walmart employees attempting to take $62.56 worth of merchandise without paying for it. He was charged with retail theft.
- Police were called to a domestic dispute were a 33 year old S. 8th Street man reported a known man was at his apartment arguing with him over past issues, and was attempting to come into his apartment. The man was gone upon officers arrival.
