Clearfield–The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation (CRC) has received a $2,500 Local Giving Grant from Walmart Supercenter #2129.

The Local Giving Grant will be used towards the 3rd Annual CRC Bloom and Berry Bash & Rubber Duck Derby being held on June 27  and additional funds will be used towards the CRC Fall Festival & Pumpkin Run 5K to be held on October 10.

In addition, grant funds are used for CRC Community Service projects including the Potter baseball team. The Potter baseball team will be assisting with refurbishing Lower Witmer park. These projects help make downtown and the parks more enjoyable for community residents.

Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner stated, “Receiving this grant from Wal-Mart Supercenter #2129 truly helps the CRC continue our mission of revitalizing downtown Clearfield and making it a wonderful place to live and work. We could not continue our Community Service projects without the continued support from Wal-Mart. The CRC is very fortunate and grateful for their continued commitment to our program and our community.”

Josh Kunkle comments “Wal-Mart is committed to helping address unmet needs in the communities where we serve.  Our support for Clearfield Revitalization Corporation and events in Downtown Clearfield underscores this commitment.  We are hopeful that through our grant, residents in Clearfield will enjoy the Bloom and Berry Bash, Fall Festival and Pumpkin Run 5K.”
