BOGGS TOWNSHIP – A 29-year-old Houtzdale man, Daniel T. Graham, was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 322 just west of Arc Road in Boggs Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
According to the report, Graham was traveling west while a freightliner operated by Wayne W. Schock of Milton was traveling east. Schock was negotiating a slight left-hand curve and approaching the Graham vehicle.
For unknown reasons, the Graham vehicle slowly drifted over the centerline into the eastbound lane. After negotiating the curve, Schock observed the Graham vehicle in his lane and attempted to swerve his freightliner.
At that point, both collided head-on, causing disabling damage. Clearfield County Coroner Mike Morris pronounced Graham dead at the scene; he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. Schock sustained minor injuries, state police said.
State police were assisted at the scene by PennDOT, Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and the Woodland, Hope and Reliance fire departments.
