Julia C. “Dolly” Curry, 82, formerly of DuBois, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born May 4, 1933 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Julia (Noble) Alexander. She was raised by her grandmother, Bessie Alexander.
On Oct. 27, 1951, she married Darrell Curry. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2011.
Mrs. Curry was a homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in DuBois. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her daughter, Darilyn J. “DeDe” Reed and her husband, Blair of Sykesville and her son, Robert D. Curry and his wife, Robin of DuBois; one sister, Miriam Pane of Penfield; five grandchildren, Michael and Scott Rafferty, Jessica and Isabella Curry and Miles Sabatine; and two great-grandchildren, Dakota Songer and Julia Rafferty.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Frank Alexander and a sister, Virginia Alexander.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
