CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police have arrested Eric Daniel Junod, 19, of Clearfield for allegedly burglarizing a local candy store. He’s been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
According to the report, police investigated an alleged burglary May 28 at Neeper’s Sweet Treats, Clearfield. Upon arrival to the scene, police found that someone had allegedly thrown a brick through an entrance door window.
Police found that someone had allegedly taken more than $80 worth of candy and soda. Police also estimated that there was more than $250 worth of damage to the store. While investigating, police located a cell phone on a counter, which wasn’t there when the store closed that day.
Police were able to determine the owner of the cell phone. On June 3, police interviewed the suspect who allegedly admitted to committing the burglary at Neeper’s Sweet Treats.
Junod has been arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. His bail has been set at $50,000. Junod has been incarcerated at the Clearfield County Jail, according to the report.
