REYNOLDSVILLE – Jeff Tech has announced that the 2014-15 Teacher of the Year is Bonnie Skinner.
Skinner has taught cosmetology for Jeff Tech since 2003. A glimpse in her classroom shows a dedicated group of students who constantly strive to improve their skills and who value the input of their instructor.
She has developed a program with a tradition of producing students who are highly skilled and ready for their field of work.
This school year all 10 of her students who took the State Cosmetology Board Exam passed to become licensed cosmetologists.
She has also been a mother figure in the lives of her students, caring for their well-being on every level. Her high expectations for their success, discipline and dedication are evident to all who witness her students.
Skinner has been a role model to her students, showing them the importance of community through service and to the school by being a positive example to their peers.
