Burkhardt, Fatherly advance to NCAA Championships

On the opening day of the NCAA East Preliminary Round, a pair of Nittany Lions advanced to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Glen Burkhardt (Kennett Square, Pa.) closed out the day with a heart-stopping performance in the 10,000-meter run, while Rachel Fatherly (Williamsport, Pa.) placed second in the women’s shot put.
