REYNOLDSVILLE – Jeff Tech would like to announce its May student of the month, Lexi Douglas.
She is a sophomore in the Digital Media Career and Technology program at Jeff Tech. She lives with her parents, Lisa and Robbie Douglas, in Summerville.
Douglas has been on the A honor roll for all three nine-week marking periods during the 2014-15 school year. She is a member of CTSO, a career and technical student organization at Jeff Tech.
She is also a member of ITASO, a student organization for the IT Academy at Jeff Tech. She competed in the Television/Video Production competition at Skills USA in April.
The Skills USA Competition is for young men and women enrolled in a full-time secondary or postsecondary vocational-technical school. The competition is based on skills obtained in CTE programs as well as other skills that relate to career goals and interests.
Other extra-curricular activities that Douglas is involved in include participation on the track and field team at her home school of Brookville. She also is in USPC, the U.S. Pony Club, as well as IEA, which is the Inter-Scholastic Equestrian Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys going to the Brookville YMCA. She also enjoys biking on Rails to Trails.
Upon graduation Douglas is considering attending Edinboro University of Pennsylvania to pursue a career in physical education and or art education.
