Luann Washell, 52, of Smithmill died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her residence.
Born Feb. 5, 1963 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Lee Thomas of Houtzdale and the late Shirley (Hensel) Thomas.
She had been employed by American Home Health and in the cafeteria department of the Moshannon Valley High School.
On June 11, 1983, she married Andrew Washell, who survives her.
Also surviving are two daughters, Shannon Forman and her husband, Keagen and Kelsey Washell, both of Houtzdale; two grandchildren, Jace and Malia Forman; a sister, Holly Kephart and her husband, Scott of Philipsburg; a brother, Rick Thomas and his wife, Beth of Ramey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.
