Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has been known to break out into song every now and then. Well, Friday was one of those days.
During a heartfelt ceremony to honor families of America’s fallen heroes hosted by TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) in Arlington, Virginia, Dempsey chose song to connect and lift the spirits of his audience, belting out Andy Grammer’s “Keep Your Head Up.”
He then visited with the children of fallen heroes, singing animal songs with the Good Grief Camp, a group dedicated to supporting children and teens who’ve lost family members in military service:
Rock on with your karaoke skills, Gen. Dempsey, especially when it’s for a good cause.
