CLEARFIELD — On May 8, five Clearfield County Career & Technology Center business students attended the Pennsylvania DECA Career Day with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

All students enrolled in the CCCTC business program are DECA members and have the opportunity to attend events like this throughout the school year.

The CCCTC students joined other DECA members from the St. Mary’s and Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center DECA chapters at PNC Park for the event.

DECA Career Day is an opportunity for students to gain meaningful insight into the marketing and business functions of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Students had the opportunity to hear from two Pirates sales and marketing staff members. These individuals shared information about their careers, educational backgrounds and some of their job responsibilities.

After the discussion, the DECA members stayed for a Pirates game against the Cardinals.
