Matthew Allen LeBeau, 41, of Eden, NC and formerly of Clearfield, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Eden, NC.
Born Aug. 11, 1973 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of Thomas LeBeau and Arlene (Raybould) Taylor.
Mr. LeBeau was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School and also the Clearfield Hospital School of Radiology.
He started working at the Clearfield Hospital at the age of 14 years in the cafeteria. After that he had worked his way up through many different jobs at the hospital, including the Radiology Department for more than 20 years.
He was employed by the Home Health of Eden and Greensboro, NC as a Cardiac and Vascular Stenographer.
He was Wesleyan by faith. He volunteered at the Humane Society of Rockingham County in Eden, NC.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Ray Taylor of DuBois and his father and step-mother, Georgia Whitney of Lancaster, NY.
Surviving are two sons, Jarret Matthew LeBeau and Bryant Matthew LeBeau, both of Philipsburg; his fiancée, Christy Martin of Eden, NC; a sister, Tena LeBeau of Clearfield; and a niece and nephew, Scarlett and Declan LeBeau of Clearfield.
Also surviving are three step-siblings, Stephanie Judy and her husband, Justin of Trafford, Scott Taylor of Punxsutawney and Mia Birdsong and her husband, Nino Moschella of Oakland, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services for Mr. LeBeau will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. Justin Judy officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
