TREASURE LAKE – Charges are currently pending against two teenage boys who were allegedly involved in a fire that caused $35,000 worth of damage to a mobile home Friday at the Cayman Landing Campground in Treasure Lake.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal, the Sandy Township police, the Treasure Lake Fire Department and the state Department of Conservation & Natural Resources investigated the mobile home fire.
Further, state police said a resident discovered smoke inside the mobile home after being woken up by a pet. She and another resident escaped the mobile home without injury. State police said the fire originated on the exterior and was determined to be arson.
Charges are currently pending against a 13-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy from McKeesport. They were taken into custody and turned over to juvenile authorities in Clearfield County, state police said.
