Al Qaeda operative Al-Fawwaz sentenced to life for ’98 embassy bombings

Khalid Abdul Rahman Hamad al-Fawwaz was sentenced Friday to life in prison for his involvement in the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

He was convicted in February of conspiracy charges in federal court in New York.
