Aging baby boomers could overflow hospital beds

Since January 1, 2011, 10,441 baby boomers per day have turned 65 and became Medicare eligible — a trend that will continue until the end of the baby boomer generation in 2030. The growth in aging boomer patients combined with the attrition of boomer-age healthcare providers raises the question of how much additional pressure the U.S.
