Thompson Cosponsored Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act Passes House

Legislation Will Protect Unborn Children After 20 Weeks

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday U.S. Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed H.R. 36, the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, by a vote of 242-184-1.

“I believe the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act will correct one of the greatest human rights issues of our day.  I am greatly concerned the United States of America continues to be one of the few countries in the world that allows for abortions beyond 20 weeks.  Passage of H.R. 36 by the House aims to correct this injustice.”

Earlier Wednesday, Thompson spoke to the House of Representatives in support of H.R. 36.
