Robert Lee Reiter, 76, of Clearfield died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at his residence. Born June 23, 1938 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Delee and Margaret Wooster Reiter.
Mr. Reiter was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Karthaus. He was a heavy equipment operator.
He was married to Amelia Kolivoski Reiter on Feb. 1, 1956 at the parsonage in Keewaydin. She survives in Clearfield.
Mr. Reiter is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Hillard and her husband, Merrill of Clearfield and Wendy Sabol and her husband, Paul of Morrisdale.
He’s survived by his grandchildren, Alayna Hillard of State College and Christopher and Sara Sabol, both of Morrisdale and a nephew, Melvin Reiter of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lee Reiter and a brother, Richard Reiter. He was the last member of his generation.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with Lay Minister Gary Jewart officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
