Scott Walker’s team can’t do math, apparently.
His account tweeted Wednesday afternoon celebrating the first time settlers made it to Jamestown in 1607 — however, his description in the tweet included bad math.
“It’s hard to believe that it has been 505 years since the first settlers arrived at Jamestown,” the tweet said.
If you do the math, it’s been 408 years since the settlers arrived, not 505 years.
People were quick to notice.
Apparently the tweet is not actually him, but his staff.
A correction tweet went out 50 minutes after the first.
