State police at Clearfield
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Thursday on Blue Ball Road in Boggs Township. During the incident, a 27-year-old Mineral Springs man was allegedly found highly intoxicated and to be endangering himself and others. He was charged for the incident, state police said.
State police at DuBois
- A motorcycle accident occurred Thursday on Stanley Bottom Road in Brady Township. Matthew J. Watson of Luthersburg was traveling west when a deer entered the roadway directly in front of his motorcycle. Watson swerved to the left and applied his brakes to avoid it, at which point his motorcycle fell over onto its side. Both Watson and his motorcycle traveled approximately 250 feet southwest across the roadway. Watson was transported to the hospital for treatment by private vehicle, state police said. State police were assisted at the scene by the Brady Township Fire Department.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft occurred sometime April 17-20 at the Penn Highlands building site in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed 19 bundles of shingles from the construction site.
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Thursday in the 300 block of Free Stone Drive in Huston Township. Further, two known people allegedly consumed a large amount of alcohol in a public place, which endangered them.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a business along East Market Street for a male who was possibly under the influence. Upon arriving at the scene, police found that the male had left. Police searched the area but were unable to locate him.
- Police responded to the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for a 302 patient who had fled the hospital. Police searched the area and were unable to locate him. However, the state police were able to locate the male. The male was then transported back to the hospital by police.
- Police received a complaint about individuals who were allegedly trespassing at a business located along East Locust Street. Police will provide extra patrols to the area.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about counterfeit money from a business on Plaza Drive.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct from a resident on Park Avenue Extension.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with the search for a patient who had fled the hospital.
- Police received a report about a possible tent being in the wooden area behind Edgewood. Upon arrival police found two sheets strung up in a tree.
- Police received a report about an active burglary alarm at a local business.
Curwensville Borough
- Police responded to the area of South Street for an unwanted person. Upon arrival police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated man in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue on Wednesday.
DuBois City
- Someone smashed the window out of a Trolley, which was parked in the first block of Beaver Drive on Thursday. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- On Thursday a 16-year-old boy and his 16-year-old girlfriend allegedly engaged in an altercation over who would take their 2-month-old child. The Department of Children & Youth Services was contacted to investigate the child’s welfare; no charges have been filed at this time, police said.
- On Wednesday police received information about a wanted person who was allegedly staying at the DuBois Manor Motel. Police responded and encountered a 27-year-old female who allegedly provided a false name. Upon investigation police determined that the female was not who she claimed to be. Police also determined that she was hiding her identity to prevent her arrest. Police said that the female was transported to the hospital for a 302 warrant. Jefferson County Probation was conducted, as the office had a bench warrant for the female. Police also said that charges are being filed against the female for false identification.
Sandy Township
- A 45-year-old DuBois woman reported that her vehicle was hit by another while it was in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Wednesday. The suspect vehicle left the scene, police said, adding minor damage was reported.
- Police responded to a Hanes Drive residence for an alleged domestic dispute on Wednesday. Further, a 40-year-old woman told police that her 40-year-old estranged husband pushed her on the bed after they had a verbal argument. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Wednesday a 46-year-old Treasure Lake man reported a truck operator pulled into his driveway and flashed its lights and then peeled out. He followed the truck to Snappy’s Convenience Store and called police. Police handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at an Industrial Drive business on Thursday.
- On Thursday a 41-year-old woman reported that her daughter had been receiving calls from an unknown phone number, and one seemed threatening in nature.
- On Thursday a 32-year-old Uniontown man called 911 after his 25-year-old wife hit him while they will were traveling through the area and having an argument. Police handled the situation without incident.
