Clearfield Police Highlight Aggressive Driving Enforcement Results

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police joined the Pennsylvania State Police and more than 330 municipal agencies to conduct targeted aggressive driving enforcement from March 23 through May 3.

Clearfield police made 69 contacts and issued 58 aggressive driving-related citations during the enforcement period. Police were assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police during one of the detail operations.

The enforcement wave focused on distracted driving, work zone safety violations and speeding. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors, such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or other aggressive actions, were also cited.

The enforcement was part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project and is funded by part of PennDOT’s $2.3 million investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
