DUBOIS – A traffic accident has resulted in charges against a Penfield woman.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office April 28, Kiley Wray Longo, 36, 6976 State Park Rd., Penfield, is charged by the DuBois-based state police with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, careless driving, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and three summary traffic charges.
According to the affidavit, on April 9, troopers were called to a traffic accident on Route 153 about half a mile north of Mud Run Road in Huston Township. The troopers learned that Longo was the only person in the vehicle.
Longo allegedly failed to negotiate a left curve, left the road, struck a tree and a utility pole. The troopers also found six empty alcohol bottles in the front of the vehicles, two additional empty bottles, along with two empty six-pack holders laying outside the vehicle.
Longo was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment, and when they arrived, the troopers could smell alcohol coming from Longo, but the troopers were unable to interview Longo due to her injuries. The troopers requested a medical blood-draw so they could obtain a search warrant for the results.
Upon receiving Longo’s medical records, the troopers learned Longo had a BAC of 0.220 at the time of the accident.
