HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania State Police announced troopers seized more than $16.2 million in heroin, marijuana and other prohibited drugs in the first quarter of 2015.
In the first quarter of 2015, troopers seized more than 21 pounds of heroin and more than 54 pounds of cocaine with a combined approximate street value of more than $9.6 million.
In addition, state police seized more than 157,000 prescription pills valued more than $3.1 million and more than four pounds of methamphetamines valued at more than $183,000. Troopers seized more than 1,400 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of $1.9 million.
In 2014, the state police seized more than $107 million in prohibited drugs.
