Obituary Notice: Nancy C. Parks

Nancy C. Parks, 70, of Rochester, NY and formerly of Hyde, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.

She was born April 26, 1944 in Olanta, the daughter of Hugh K. and Ethel R. (Panco) Collins.

She had worked as a secretary at Beckwith Machine Co. and State Farm Insurance Co., Clearfield.

She was a member of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and as a member of the Presbyterian Women Association. She was also a member of the former Christian Women’s Club of Clearfield.

She is survived by a brother, Dale K. Collins of Curwensville; a sister, Carolyn A. Miller of West Henrietta, NY; three god-daughters, Lisa Kuehl, Darla Oukes and Nadine Horton; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Parks and his wife, Mary of Clearfield; a sister-in-law, LaRee Fuchs and her husband, Chuck of Luthersburg; and several nieces and nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard C. Parks on Dec. 8, 2002; an infant sister; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Collins and Margaret Wilsoncroft; a niece, Linda McCracken; and a nephew/god-child, Ricky Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. J. Robert Mellgard and Mr. Richard Barkley co-officiating.

Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of the services at the funeral home.
