State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Monday at a parking lot near 300 South St. in Curwensville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly broke out the driver’s side and passenger’s side windows of the victim’s truck. They also allegedly damaged the windshield of the victim’s truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a traffic complaint along Nichols Street, where a female driver appeared to be intoxicated. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a complaint about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at a work site along Park Avenue. The complainant didn’t want to press any charges, police said.
- Police have initiated an investigation into alleged bad checks.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at the J.G. Food Warehouse.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person walking along East Locust Street. The complaint was unfounded and an investigation is being conducted for false reports, police said.
- Police received a report about suspicious persons with flashlights along East Locust Street. Police discovered that the individuals were looking for lost property.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle along Temple Avenue.
- Police responded to the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for a report about an unruly patient. Police were able to calm the patient without incident.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the area of Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident in front of Sheetz. No injuries were reported as a result; the vehicles didn’t require towing, police said.
- Police received a report about a traffic complaint that occurred on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a noise complaint on Clarendon Avenue.
- Police received a report about an open door at a local business.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with handling an incident at the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing Monday in the 200 block of Ridge Street. Police learned that an ex-tenant was at the location and not permitted to be there. Upon police arrival, there was not anyone at the residence. Police spoke with the landlord and determined this was a civil issue between the landlord and tenant.
- Police responded to the Penn Highlands emergency room to investigate an alleged assault on Monday. Police spoke with a 19-year-old DuBois man who said he had been assaulted by his 25-year-old sister from Falls Creek. The man was being treated for neck pain, police said. Both parties advised police that they had been assaulted by the other party. The alleged altercation occurred in the 100 block of Spring Avenue in DuBois. Charges are currently pending further investigation, police said.
- On Monday police received a report about an alleged assault in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue. While en route, police learned a male had been assaulted by his daughter. Police were also advised the male had a large head wound and was bleeding. Upon police arrival, a 55-year-old DuBois man was observed in the kitchen with blood covering his head and face. The male told police he had been struck in the head with a cooking pot by his 33-year-old daughter. The male was transported to Penn Highlands for treatment; the woman was arrested for simple assault and harassment and transported to the Clearfield County Jail. While investigating, police learned that both had active warrants through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department. The sheriff’s department also took custody of the man once he was cleared from the ER, police said.
