Cseh Facing Charges after DUI Crash

DUBOIS – A Treasure Lake woman is accused of driving under the influence.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office April 22, Patricia A. Cseh, 50, 102 Beacon Cay Rd., 1878 Treasure Lake, DuBois, is charged by the Sandy Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol or another substance following a traffic accident April 11.

According to the affidavit, officers were contacted by Treasure Lake Security for a traffic accident at the intersection of Bay and Matura roads. When officers arrived, they saw a silver BMW sports utility vehicle, which had struck the end of a guiderail, which had penetrated the engine compartment and fire wall of the vehicle.

The officers spoke to the driver, later identified as Cseh, and asked if she were injured. Cseh allegedly told police she was driving and no one was with her. The officers asked Cseh to provide her driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance, but was struggling to keep her balance and was having difficulty completing simple tasks.

The officers asked Cseh where she was traveling from and where she was going. She provided her address but allegedly told the officers that she didn’t know where she was going. Cseh allegedly told police she was too drunk to drive.

After failing field sobriety tests, Cseh was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois for blood-alcohol testing, which showed Cseh had a BAC of 0.272 percent at the time of the accident.
