Concert to Benefit Local Church Group’s Mission Trip

HYDE – Several members of the Hyde Wesleyan Church will journey to Swaziland, Africa in July of 2015.

The group will visit the Wesleyan Bible College there, deliver ministry supplies and conduct various projects around campus.

The group will take part in the local mission’s conference to encourage the students and pastors in their work of faith and sharing the Gospel of Christ around the world.

Also, the group will visit nearby orphanages to provide support and encouragement to those taking care of abandoned and HIV positive children.

Beau, Jeanne, Shane and Cortney Litz are CrossOver, a southern gospel family and singing group from central Pennsylvania. CrossOver will perform a benefit concert at 6 p.m. May 17 at the Hyde Wesleyan Church.

During the benefit concert, an offering will be received to help with the costs of the church group’s trip to Africa.

Group members from CrossOver stated, “God’s word clearly says, ‘Go ye into all the world and preach my word’ to us. This means we, too, must go anywhere to sing and witness to others about the saving grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

“We are very thankful, as a family, to be able to do this and have enjoyed every moment and each new friend we have met along the way.”
