Victim locks herself in bathroom while thieves ravage home

St. Louis, MO (KMOV) — Police arrested one suspect and are searching for two others after they allegedly raided a woman’s home, forcing her to hide in her bathroom for safety.

“I was terrified. I was shaking,” said the victim, who wished to not be identified. “I was crying. I didn’t know what to do.”

She says the men came in through a back door and headed for the living room. In a flash, she bolted to the bathroom and dialed 911. “I was in the bathroom and whispering so they wouldn’t hear me. I did that twice, but then I called my husband and said ‘Somebody’s in the house.'”

Mustering up all the courage she could, she screamed at the victims. “I just yelled real loud, ‘Get out of my house!'” The victim says she saw three suspects in her living room and two of them were trying to rip her TV off her wall.

Startled at the sudden outburst, the thieves sprinted out of the home without hurting the victim, but while they were fleeing, one of them dropped their I.D.

Police later arrested Antwaun Cole, but are still trying to locate the other suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
