Man Flown to Altoona after Head-on Collision in Winslow Twp.

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – A DuBois man was flown from Penn Highland DuBois to UPMC Altoona with unknown injuries after a head-on collision Friday on Wayne Road in Winslow Township, reported the state police at DuBois.

According to the report, Eric D. Edner of DuBois was traveling east on Wayne Road. His vehicle crossed over the centerline and into the oncoming lane of travel. His vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle operated by Lisa A. Minns of DuBois.

Edner’s vehicle subsequently traveled off of the north berm, which was down over an embankment. His vehicle overturned multiple times until coming to a final rest on its passenger’s side. Minns’ vehicle was pushed down over an embankment on the north berm.

Minns wasn’t wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision. She didn’t report any injuries, said state police. State police said it’s believed that Edner also wasn’t hearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene, state police said. State police were assisted by the Friendship Hose Co., the Falls Creek Volunteer Fire Department and DuBois Emergency Medical Services.
